Starting this Monday, March 7, when the return to school begins, health personnel will perform random and non-invasive tests on students.
According to the Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, this measure, which will be adopted in conjunction with the Social Security Fund, will be previously announced to the parents and their authorization must be obtained in order to carry out the operations.
This strategy will be carried out with the aim of guaranteeing and identifying cases of covid-19 in educational centers.
“This is going to be done to try to mitigate and generate alerts if it happens,” said the Minister of Education.
The minister also referred to the Vaccination Day in educational centers for children from 5 to 11 years old, where she clarified that the parent must be present at the time their child is inoculated.
