The Ministry of Habitat and Urban Development of the Province published a call for public tenders to build 120 homes in a neighborhood of Berazategui, with a work that will have an official budget higher than the $1,597 million financed by the World Bank.
As reported this Friday by the Buenos Aires Government, it is a work that “comes to respond to the need of people who live on the banks of the Arroyo Las Conchitas, the June 3 neighborhood of the town of Plátano, and are exposed to power lines that cross over the property”.
The initiative is added to another tendered in April to finish the construction of 300 houses.
As specified, the necessary work to carry out the resettlement process is carried out jointly with the families involved and with the support of a multidisciplinary territorial team.
“We carry out field work with the necessary care, because it involves the present and future of people who were already settled but who are exposed to a situation of vulnerability,” said the minister. Agustin Simon.
The official also highlighted the work in the territory and highlighted the importance of carrying out a participatory process.
The work includes the Sanitation of the property and the construction of the sewage system, drinking water networks, gas and public lighting. Streets will also be paved and sidewalks will be built for the neighborhood.
The opening of envelopes will take place on July 29, 2022, at 11:00, at the headquarters of the Provincial Agency for Social and Urban Integration (OPISU), located at 47 N° 529 between 5 and 6, La Plata.
Interested companies will be able to download the specifications on the Web page of the Provincial Housing Institute.
This work is added to the tender carried out last month to advance with the completion of 300 homes in the Kennedy neighborhood, and it also includes the infrastructure.
As they specified from the area, the provincial government “has been working on the implementation of public policies to guarantee access to fair habitat for more and more people from Buenos Aires.”
