Director CNE announced it at the “Government in the provinces” conference
The executive director of the National Energy Commission (CNE), Edward Veras Diazreported yesterday that there are four large solar energy projects under construction in the municipality of San Antonio de Guerra in Santo Domingo Este, which will provide clean energy and quality jobs in that community.
The official offered the information when participating in the government day “Government in the provinces”, with the Deputy Minister of Energy and Mines, Alfonso Rodríguez Tejada and representatives of that
community, in which he listened to the concerns of the community and spoke about the government actions to increase the generation of renewable energy and for a better efficiency in the electrical service in Dominican Republic.
He argued that the CNE is also working on projects that include the installation of solar panels to provide eight schools in the municipality of San Antonio de Guerra with solar energy, which lowers operating costs and improves the environment.
He said that the government of the president Louis Abinader it is focused on the communities growing and organizing themselves, with Guerra being declared “the community of the sun and the water”.
