Despite having more than 80% of the population vaccinated in the country, the recovery of youth employment is progressing slowly. To achieve greater labor insertion, the Forge Foundation is granting 700 scholarships free nationwide, through its ‘Tu Futuro’ program.
In this way, Peruvians will be able to develop the skills and competencies that companies are demanding today and that can obtain a formal job.
“Through this program, young people will develop their socio-emotional skills such as self-awareness, leadership, assertive communication or responsibility, as well as digital skills. These are some of the skills most in demand by companies today. In addition, technical training is offered”, specified María José Gómez, director of the Forge Foundation for Peru and Colombia.
Since 2016, the institution has impacted more than 10,000 young people, training them and helping them enter the formal market. “In 2021 alone, we virtually trained 2,500 young people with limited economic resources who are working today and we have the goal of continuing to impact more young people nationwideGomez commented.
How to access a scholarship?
Until Thursday, February 24, young people from Lima, Trujillo, Pacasmayo, Sechura, Ciudad de Rioja, Chancay, Pisco, Callao and Coischo, who meet the requirements, will be able to register through the social networks or Web of the Forge Foundation.
To be one of the beneficiaries, you must meet the following requirements:
- They must be between 17 (close to turning 18) and 24 years old.
- Have finished high school.
- Have a mobile phone, PC or tablet with internet access.
- Live in one of the mentioned cities.
- Have the motivation to train to find a job.
Technical courses
Scholarship holders may decide on technical training according to their interest:
- Gastronomic services.
- Logistics and distribution.
- Sales, customer service, among others.
At the end of the program, they will have the possibility of obtaining a formal job within the offer offered by the more than 200 companies of the Forge Business Network nationwide.
