On March 23, Julián González who is dedicated to fixing carsreceived a call from a man who supposedly required the polarization of some vehicles they were in The Calera. The total sum of the work was approximately 5 million pesos.
The victim indicates that his work is up to date and that, when he was offered the job, he did not hesitate to accept and hired two other people and invested nearly $1,200,000 in the materials, this money was saved for his children’s school expenses.

On March 24, the affected rented a car to go to the municipality, before that, the supposed client called him to verify how many people would goto have them lunch, but in reality it was to prepare the extortion.
The workers set out on their way and arrived at the town, but according to the indications it was a difficult access road and it took 20 minutes on the way.
As they walked along the road, they noticed they were reaching a desolate area in the village of El Volcán and quickly González sent the location to his sentimental partner
Upon arriving at the site, the operators were intercepted by some subjects who indicated that they should not be in that area, forced them to turn off their cell phones and give a contact number and identity card to identify them.
The criminals presented themselves as ELN guerrillas and claimed that they were under the Commandant Antonio’s orders and that they couldn’t try anything because they were armed and they were going to burn their car.
At that moment, the relatives found out that they had kidnapped their husbands and that, to release them they had to pay 10 million for each one in the shortest time possible or else they were going to be assassinated.
Julián and his assistants lasted 3 hours frightened that they were going to be shot, but they really did not see the weapons, and they indicate that some individuals were doing motorcycle surveillancebut they only lasted 20 minutes, and another accomplice would be on a mountain pointing at them.
The truth is that González’s wife called the police and warned what was happeningbut before that, he managed to consign more than 1 million pesos, which he borrowed from his neighbors. The captors told her that if she did not send at least 4 million more they would end her husband’s life.
Time later, the kidnapped planned to flee in the transport they had brought. A few minutes later they advanced the plan and arrived at the town to make the complaint, but there they were told that they had to go to Bogotá and talk to the Prosecutor’s Office, because this case was referred to a guy who was in the Picaleña prison.
Julián González, mentions that he fears for his life and that of his family, since, they took him by the hair at the time of doing the legal diligence and they laughed at himIn addition to that, you definitely cannot trust those who call you because, even if you have a profile picture that appears to be good people, they can do the same thing to you again. He even stated that keep getting these calls from jail.

The authorities explain that this type of extortion is not new and that it is a group of criminals who obtain information through social networks and request services of trasteos, funeral homes, cranes or tourist transport. The modus operandi is to set them up in isolated municipalities, with a bad signal.
