The president of the Business Association gamarraSusana Saldaña, warned that the businessmen of the emporium have received threats so that they close their stores, today and tomorrow, or they will be victims of looting.
“A group of 10 people spread out through different stores on checkerboard B and threatened them that they should close immediately, and stay that way today and tomorrow, because otherwise there would be looting,” he explained.
He also pointed out that the informals that are around the emporium did not receive the same threats as the formal ones.

In addition, he explained that in another area of Gamarra “a group of vandals tried to enter shouting that there was looting in order to scare customers and rob them, or that the stores close so that they can have control of the streets.”
In this sense, he pointed out that it is necessary for the authorities to take action, since from the Municipality of Lima and that of La Victoria “it seems that they have abandoned the emporium.”
“That the municipal authorities be inspected so that they do their job because they have left us alone. There are around 200 police officers, but informal trade is still present”, he added.
