Santo Domingo. – In a meeting held with citizens, they proclaim teacher María Teresa Cabrera as their candidate for the presidency of the Republic, they pointed out that it is time for a woman adorned with the qualities and virtues of a teacher to be the candidate of the progressive sectors, democratic and left organized and unorganized.
They stressed that the teacher has always been defending the best interests of the population, leading the most important days of struggles that have occurred in recent years, such as the fight for 4 0/0 for Education when she held the presidency of the ADP , Green March among many other days of struggle.
Professor Cabrera highlighted the need to work to have a State that becomes a guarantor of citizens and citizens, where there is a better distribution of wealth and where the rich pay more and concentrate less wealth.
In addition, he pointed out that we are facing a model that does not generate quality jobs, a model that denies the rights of citizens who live working facing the sun day after day.
Professor María Teresa Cabrera expressed her willingness to lead a candidacy for the presidency through a unitary process that can present a credible proposal to society, that shows that the popular, progressive and leftist sectors are really willing to compete for the power with the forces that have always held power.
