A total of 38 drug panels were located in the Airport sector, Pedro Camejo municipality (San Juan de Payara), Apure state, according to military sources.
The panelas were buried in plastic drums distributed as follows: 36 of marijuana and two of cocaine that in total amounted to 21 kilos 915 grams, according to a report from River Detachment 354 of the Bolivarian National Guard. The drugs were in a state of abandonment.
Two other panels of cocaine were seized by the military in Las Guardias, Guajira Indigenous municipality, Zulia.
The two panels yielded a total weight of 1 kilo 160 grams, a substance that was transported by Cindy Paola Pacheco.
Another woman was arrested while transporting drugs. This is Vanesa Mercedes Castro Uzcátegui, who was carrying a panel of marijuana in a bag, the report says.
Castro Uzcátegui was detained at the Francisco de Paula Santander International Bridge, located in Ureña, on the border of Táchira and Colombia.
