The Argentine ambassador to Venezuela, Oscar Laborde, thanked the government of President Nicolás Maduro for its solidarity with Argentine Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in the face of the new “moment of media-judicial persecution” against the high-ranking official.
On his Twitter account, the diplomat showed the letter sent days ago by President Nicolás Maduro to Fernández de Kirchner, in which he highlighted his bravery, courage, dignity and above all his high level of patriotism in the face of the new offensive by the Argentine right. .
The letter says: “they want to destroy you, dear Cristina, or at least neutralize you, because you are a retaining wall, a bulwark against misery and stateless lies. I am certain that the truth will prevail.”
It is worth noting that two prosecutors from that country requested a prison sentence of up to 12 years and disqualification from holding public office for Fernández for alleged corruption during his administration.
