They suspended traffic at the Cristo Redentor pass that connects Mendoza with Chile

The Christ the Redeemer international pass, that communicates Mendoza with Chile, was discontinued this Sunday afternoon to the transit of all types of vehicles through snowfall and climatic instability in the highway corridor, reported from the coordination of both countries.

As indicated by the Argentine coordination, due to the disposition of both countries and due to the weather conditions (snowfall), which affect the normal passability of the international corridor Ruta Nacional 7 (Argentina) and Ruta Nacional 60 (Chile), the borders of Preventive transit starting at 5:30 p.m. in Argentina.

Besides, the Zonda wind went down to the plain this Sunday afternoon in some areas of the province, which raised the temperature, which was around 30 degrees in the capital of Mendoza, according to records from the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

Although for these hours the meteorological phenomenon did not cause strong gusts, in Greater Mendoza it did raise the temperature.

From the SMN they had warned of snowfall and strong winds in the mountain range of Mendoza and other provinces and also warned of the possibility of a Zonda wind being recorded in the south of the province, La Rioja and San Juan.
