the councilor Lola Terrazas, from the Autonomous Communitydenounced the lack of will of his colleagues from the Movimiento Al Socialismo (MAS) and Unión Cívica Solidaridad (UCS) to develop the extraordinary session of the Municipal Council where it was intended to analyze the police repressions in the capital of Santa Cruz and the actions that must be taken about.
This is the second time this session has been suspended. On the first occasion, as they explained, there were some technical problems that did not allow the connection of all the councilors.
On this second opportunity, according to the version of Councilor Terrazas, there was no quorum to carry out the session, for which reason it was suspended again.
“Here what is really missing is the will on the part of the MAS and the UCS, to deliberate on issues that affect all our people. In this session it was planned demand the dismissal of the Departmental Commander of the Police, the budget allocated to the olive green entity and concrete actions for the Executive to defend the rights of the citizen“, Terrazas said.
For Terrazas, this situation only shows that “political agreements are above citizen interests, the lack of professional will of colleagues from the other benches,” he said.
It should be remembered that since last December 28, when the governor Luis Fernando Camacho was apprehended, violence broke out in the capital of Santa Cruz. The police repression against those who demonstrate in the streets against the arrest of the first authority of the department has been evident.
That is why the councilors determined an extraordinary session to manifest themselves in this regard; However, on the two occasions that this appointment was scheduled, the session did not take place for different reasons.
