Two men related to the shooting which resulted in the death of a second police lieutenant and a civilian surrendered this Thursday to the National Police in the city of Mao, province Valverde.

This is Manuel Antonio Sánchez Feliz, known as Mayitoand Juan Alberto Espinal Cuevas, also called Albertwho were wanted through arrest warrant No. 2024-AJ0033920.

The tragic incident occurred last Sunday, December 1, on Sánchez Street, province Barahonaand left the second lieutenant as fatal victims police Meregildo Antonio Espinosa Segura and civilian Bryan Adonis Ferreras Feliz. In addition, civilian Carlos Borges Mancebo was injured in the conflict.

Case details
According to reports, Second Lieutenant Espinosa Segura died at consequence of shots made by Ferreras Happy, while Ferreras Feliz died after being shot by Espinal Cuevas, who allegedly used the regulation weapon of the lieutenant Thorny Safe.

Both men chose to surrender to the pressure of police monitoring, led by agents from the Southern Regional Investigation Subdirectorate and with the support of the Rapid Action unit. The delivery took place this Thursday morning in a season of fuel, after a mediation led by the lawyer of those involved.

Legal process
The detainees will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry for legal purposes corresponding.
