Santo Domingo.- The leader of the ruling Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) Félix Landeta, received this Tuesday the support of the well-known leader of that organization, Geanilda Vázquez for his aspirations to secretary general of constituency number 2 of the National District.
Landeta thanked Vázquez for his support and assured that together with whoever is elected president of the aforementioned constituency, he will defend the government work carried out by the party.
For his part, Vázquez highlighted the qualities, both personal and political, of Landeta, who is one of the founders of the PRM, since 2014 at the hands of Xiomara Aponte in South Florida (USA).
He reiterated that if elected to the position, he will be a spokesperson and defender of the work of President Luis Abinader’s government and emphasized that the population “should not look back and continue to support the excellent management of the government to continue betting on change for the benefit of the most needy and consolidate the economic stability that the Dominican Republic is experiencing”.
Landeta is part of the board of directors of the “La familia con Luis” movement, which has supported the aspirations of today’s president Abinader since its inception. Likewise, he was a close collaborator of the leader Xiomara Aponte of the PRM branch in Florida.
After electing its national authorities through a convention, the PRM is now preparing to elect its local and provincial directors through the same method.
District number 2 of the National District is made up of some 50 neighborhoods or sectors, 55 electoral precincts, 470 Electoral Colleges, 19 PRM zones and some 230,000 voters at a general level.
