On 10th Street in the El Valle parish of Caracas, the National Government is carrying out works to improve the water supply. The works were supervised by the mayor, Carmen Meléndez, who highlighted the participation of the People’s Power.
He explained that old pipes are being replaced with new ones, “so that drinking water reaches the highest parts directly. We are also working on the channeling of wastewater.”
The works are a commitment made together with the Minister of People’s Power for Water, Carlos Mast. He explained that it is a project prioritized by the community in a popular consultation, and that it complies with the guidelines of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to solve the problems together with the communities.
