They summoned referents who demand the creation of national universities

The president of the Education Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Blanca Osuna (Frente de Todos), convened for this Tuesday a meeting with educational referents who demand the advancement of bills that propose the creation of different national universities.

The meeting will be held from 2:00 p.m. in Annex C Room 2 of the Lower House, with the motto “The right to higher education,” it was reported in a statement.

“We will receive in the Chamber of Deputies the communities and institutions that have been working, promoting and making dreams come true for national universities Juan Laurentino Ortiz, Pilar, Delta, Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, Cuenca del Salado, Ezeiza, Saladillo and Río Tercero”, as specified.

“From my role as President of the Education Commission, we assume these spaces as vehicles for those needs and demands, with the conviction of their approval to continue strengthening the federal right to higher education,” Osuna said in the call.

The projects for the creation of these eight national universities could not be discussed last December in the Lower House.

The opinions were part of the agenda for the session on December 1, which was frustrated in the midst of a scandal, and the one on December 21, which did not meet a quorum due to the absence of the opposition.
