José Antonio Ruiz Díaz González, is the name of the person who allegedly shot journalist Fidel Villalba while he was hosting a party in the city of Yby Yaú, department of Concepción. The defendant is the stepson of local councilor Manuel Martínez Morales.
The event occurred early Sunday morning in the María Auxiliadora neighborhood, where the attacker was with another man. Once the act was perpetrated, both quickly left the place. Ruiz Díaz is a fugitive.
This Monday the local police report was released, detailing some details of the episode. It mentions that the motivation for the criminal attack was the “request” that Ruiz Díaz made to Villalba, that don’t stop the music.
“That would have been the reason why the event occurred, according to the testimonies,” remarked the commissioner Eulalio Florentin at 1020 AM, head of the city police station.
Emphasize that the attacker he got angry because the party was ending, and demanded that he continue. And that was the “reason” that prompted it. However, the investigators told the press that they are investigating other aspects that could have motivated the criminal action.

They consider that the “explanation” about what generated the attitude of the stepson of councilor Martínez Morales, does not have a solid basis, taking into account that it is excessive enough to unleash the impulse to kill.
The communicator Villalba is hospitalized out of danger, and his testimony can shed more light on what happened, as well as the possible background.
The episode shocked the city of Yby Yaú, a town located in an area where in recent times, violent events have worsened, most of them linked to the activities of groups dedicated to drug trafficking.
