The Municipality of the city of Formosa carried out a “open and inclusive” call to all the people who want to participate in the fashion and design shows of the fall-winter and spring-summer seasons that will be open throughout the year to “promote the work of local talents in the field” that was “very punished” during the pandemic.
This was explained to Télam by the coordinator of Social Action of that municipality, Paula Cattaneonoting that the event called fashion seeks to “make visible the Formosan talents that there are many and that because of the pandemic they were severely punished” and that citizens were summoned to participate in the parades.
“It was held open and inclusive so that a hundred people are parading next June 11 and, according to their characteristics, more than 20 capital and interior designers will show their clothing and jewelry for the fall-winter season,” he added.
Cattaneo specified that the event “also fashion houses from the capital city will participate.”
Among the designers who will participate are Martín Escobar, Verónica Romero and Ibis Kriebaum, some of them multi-awarded, of national and international importance.
The local designer Augusto Montoya highlighted the “positive” response to the call to participate in these parades “above all because many non-professionals were encouraged to introduce themselvesmotivated by others already recognized, as well as the presence of new creatives who approached in order to pave the way for Formosan design”.
He stressed that the project fashion “Aims to form a window so that people see the movement, learn about the work of local designers and have them as a reference”.
“We aim that the part of the private sector continues to grow in the areasince each branch – design, tailoring, makeup, photography and accessories – is a source of work, and The purpose is to conquer a larger client base in the future.as well as support those who are already there”, he stated.
