The head of Parliament requested the presence of all members of this working group at the fourth session to be held from 3:30 pm in person in the Grau room of the Legislative Palace, as well as virtually through the Microsoft Teams platform.
Alva Prieto established that the approval of the proposal for the minutes that was made in the third session of the commission be discussed at the meeting. Likewise, he explained that compliance with the guidelines, the schedule and evaluation of the following actions that will be carried out will be reviewed.

As recalled, Last June 9, the Judiciary ordered the Congress of the Republic to suspend the election of the new head of the Ombudsman’s Office. until there is a final decision on the amparo action presented by the union of the aforementioned entity, considering that there is no transparency or publicity in the process.
The Third Specialized Constitutional Court of Lima, in charge of Judge John Javier Paredes Salas, told Maria del Carmen Alva to suspend the process already started to elect the successor of Walter Gutierrez.
Likewise, the Judicial Power detailed that the measure will be in force until it is decided whether or not the amparo action is approved. In this sense, the only hearing in this process has been scheduled to be held on July 18.
