The president of the Bar Association and the Primero Justicia Foundation, Miguel Surun Hernandezfiled an amparo action before the Superior Administrative Court (TSA) against several State institutions, including the Ministry of the Presidencyfor the denial of information regarding the 27 Public Trusts, “whose debts exceed RD$100 million.”
In addition, the appeal filed includes the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency, the Bank and the Banreservas Trust, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Public Works and Communications.

«For having denied information regarding the operations, payments and debts of the trusts. Debts that currently, as we understand unofficially, amount to more than 100 million pesos, “said the jurist.
Miguel Surun Hernandez said that these entities and their incumbents violated the Law 200-04on Free Access to Public Information.
He argued that the information required includes: issuing certification stating the complete list of the Public Trusts and/or Private created by the Dominican Government from 2018 to date, including those trusts where the Dominican State has participation.
