The Fundación El Ejército de Alejito carried out this Saturday and during the next week an “urgent” collection to bring gifts to girls and boys with cancer at Hospital Posadas since they This Friday a car was stolen in the Buenos Aires town of Castelar with food and 300 toys that were to be delivered to celebrate Christmas.
“We were gathering toys to take to Hospital Posadas at Christmas and share a very nice day with the pediatric oncologists,” said Gabriela Peirano, president of the El Ejército de Alejito foundation, adding that They had “more than 300 new toys and some trays made personally by volunteers”who were going to be transferred to the hospital located in El Palomar, in the province of Buenos Aires.
However, the blue Honda Fit car that was going to the house of the president of the Foundation this Friday at 7:00 p.m. with gifts and food was stolen at the intersection of España and Arias streets, in the town of Castelar, from the party of Morón, with all that it moved.
For this reason, from Aleijto’s Army they carry out a new collection of toys, which must be new due to the conditions of the children who receive them, with the aim of “not failing the boys.”
How to donate toys?
The people who wish bring your donation to the foundation should go to its headquarters, located at the Calle Zufriategui at 612, in the town of Ituzaingó, province of Buenos Aires, from Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4 to 8 p.m. since the collection will continue during the next week.
“We are all trying to get back together even if it is what we can so the boys don’t miss the 25th,” said Gabriela, who was receiving donations this Saturday at the Foundation’s headquarters.
