They steal $3,060 and a fake motorcycle for sale by Marketplace

A quartet of criminals appropriated $3,060 and a motorcycle after defrauding a citizen who tried to buy a Ford brand truck, model F-150, offered through the Facebook Marketplace platform.

The 32-year-old victim had made the negotiation through said social network and agreed with one of the criminals to formalize, on March 22, the purchase of the vehicle near the Luisa de Jacote school, located in the sector The Pica of San Francisco de Yare, Miranda state.

According to the police investigation, that day, at 11:30 a.m., the young man and a mechanic friend arrived aboard a Haojue brand motorcycle, blue in color, year 2022, to the place to check the truck, however, they were surprised. by the four criminals, who deprived them of the 3,060 dollars, a cell phone and the motorcycle.

The incident was denounced at the headquarters of the Valles del Tuy Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps.

According to the Cicpc Computer Crime Division, Marketplace and WhatsApp are preferred by criminals to scam.
