They sign an agreement that starts up "Digital Labels"

The Reserve Bank, Reserves Insurance, the National Institute of Traffic and Land Transport (Intrant) and the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transport (Digesett) launched the project “Digital Tags”, which will allow transit agents issue and verify, in real time and using QR technology, insurance policies for motor vehicles.

Through the agreement, Banreservas donated 500 state-of-the-art portable digital readers to Intrant and Digesett, with integrated Wi-Fi and the ability to read the QR code, which will give access to Reserve Insurance from its partner policy base.

The pact, which will promote road safety, was signed by José Manuel Almonte, administrative deputy administrator of the bank; Víctor Rojas, vice president of insurance; Rafael Ernesto Arias, president of Intrant, and Ramón Guzmán Peralta, director of Digesett.

“(The agreement) is established to guarantee a more competent and trustworthy work to the citizens, promoting a better circulation of vehicles on our roads, with a maximum of efficiency and safety,” said Almonte.

Meanwhile, the vice president of Reserves Insurance highlighted the interest of that company in “obtaining the technology of QR type electronic tags that will allow the complete reading of an entire policy, to know if it is current or not, which is the big problem that it arises in our streets and that today, through this technology, we will have it resolved ”.

He added that “this alliance to put into effect the digital tag is exclusive for our clients, which will facilitate the land traffic authorities to verify the validity and validity of motor vehicle insurance policies in an agile and practical way, ruling out the need to have a physical card, which represents, in turn, an ecological action, since it will avoid the use of plastics “.

Likewise, the director of Digesett said that thanks to this type of tool the institution will be more efficient in the exercise of its control tasks.

Rafael Arias, director of the Intrant, affirmed that this new mechanism is a support, both for the insured and for the clients, since a current insurance allows an effective response to damages that may be caused in the use of public roads.

To facilitate the use of digital readers, Seguros Reservas will hold technical training sessions for Digestt agents so that they can make use of the technology provided and thus verify in real time the coverage of motor vehicles and trailers insured in the country.
