The Vice President of Economy Tareck El Aissami, showed this Thursday evidence of the state of destruction where the facilities of the Venezuelan company Monómeros, in Barranquilla, are located.
Through a press conference, he reiterated that the former president of Colombia Iván Duque, the fugitive from justice, Leopold Lopez and Juan Guaidó are responsible for the devastation of the company.
“We present to the country and to the world the denunciation of a plot of corruption, destruction and theft perpetrated by sectors of the Venezuelan extremist right. Today the company is a cemetery of ruins, completely devastated and with a production capacity of 0% », he denounced.
He affirmed that Monómeros occupied the 1st place of attention and supply of fertilizers to the agro-productive sector and was the main food-producing company in Colombia.
El Aissami recalled that the Superintendence of Companies in Colombia decided, in strict adherence to the law and doing justice, to recognize the directive proposed by the Pequiven Government of Venezuela.
Similarly, he announced that the president, Nicolás Maduro, appointed Ninoska La Concha as the new manager of the company who, together with a team of trained personnel from Colombia, will be in charge of recovering the company.
In addition, he appointed a team of specialists to restore the operation of Monómeros, a Colombian-Venezuelan company belonging to Petrochemicals of Venezuela (Pequiven), which “was received in ruins.”
Vice President El Aissami also thanked the company’s workers for the work they have done: “We express our solidarity and all our support to the company’s workers to turn Monómeros back into one of the most powerful companies in Colombia”.
For his part, the president of Pequiven, Colonel Tellechea Ruiz, recalled that the company’s working class received the legitimate authorities with hope.
«The spaces give a lot of sadness due to the deterioration and the intention to destroy it and sell it in a small and illegal way. It is a plant without the minimum conditions to operate », he asserted,
He announced that in the next few hours a dock with the raw material will arrive in Colombia sent from Venezuela to operate and arrive at a dock that does not have the minimum conditions to operate.
23 arrest warrants
At the press conference, the Vice President of Economy Tareck El Aissami also reported that justice has acted with respect to the people involved in the destruction of the company.
“I also announce that we have 23 arrest warrants directly involved in the criminal action of destroying the company,” he said, while announcing that the justice bodies will request international arrest warrants against another group of Venezuelans.
Below are the 23 people who are being requested, including, with international alert for the crimes of usurpation of functions, conspiracy to commit a crime and legitimation of Capitals:
Rogelio Rafael Lozada Briceño, Enrique Simón Torres Galabiz, John Mirena, Bilbao Baroja, Mira Olivares Acevedo, Freddy Roid Bohorquez, Fernando Acenjo Rosillo, Mireya Ripanti de Amaya, Jorge Antonio Yánez Jiménez and Iván Ivanof Socorro.
Also included are: Tom Gustavo Delfino, José Alberto de Antonio, Carmen Eliza Hernández, Javier Ricardo Linarez, José Ignacio González, Rafael Ángel Primera, Seymi Dayana Martínez, Yadith Halaf Reyes, Ramón Crespo Morles, Nelsón Rafael Deya, Luis Alfieri Hurtado, Fernando Mariano Paredes, Jean Paúl Dubarte and Guillermo Rodríguez La Prea.
The Prea, exercised the position of General Managerl of Monómeros since January 10, 2021, “and is one of the main responsible for the destruction of the company,” said El Aissami.
The vice president of the economic area specified that the evidence of the theft of the Venezuelan asset has been recorded, so that four complaints and four open cases since 2019, 2020 and 2021 rest in the Public Ministry (MP).
“These citizens were part of boards of directors and managers linked to the plot. We are doing a deep audit of the corruption scheme for the theft of the company by relatives and people linked to the extreme right », he reiterated.
El Aissami stressed that new evidence will be recorded that compromises the investigation against Juan Guaidó, and the rest of the people who participated.
