The lawyer José Carlos Mejía asks the Ministry of the Interior for guarantees for his life. The attack occurred just hours after he and ‘Culebra’ carried out an investigation at the Public Ministry.
He Junior Izquierdo’s lawyer, Jose Carlos Mejiareported an alleged act of intimidation after an attack perpetrated in front of his house in the Independencia district. The lawyer informed this media that, at around nine at night, some unidentified individuals shot almost a dozen times at a car parked in front of his home.
After this, the lawyer asked the Ministry of the Interior to have protection and guarantees for his life, as he fears that such shots were fired in order to threaten him. “I ask the National Police of Peru and the interior minister to ensure the safety of all Peruvians and, on the issue that I am defending, objectively, I also ask for guarantees for my life and my family. Normal for me, but I have a family. It is necessary because the issue that the captain left It moves many interests of people whose faces we don’t even know. We don’t know how many are interested in keeping this investigation quiet,” he told La República.
