The Judiciary issued 15 months of preventive detention against four subjects, including a pregnant defendant, charged with participating in the murder of a mechanic during a robbery in the district of José Leonardo Ortiz, in Chiclayo.
The measure reaches Pamela Sánchez La Serna, Víctor Alfonso Vásquez Castañeda, Jorge Nunton Torres and Weider Vargas Nicolás, who remain under investigation for the alleged commission of the crime of aggravated robbery with the result of death, in the grievance of Ambrocio Enrique Mauricio Reyna, a 72 -year -old man.
During the hearing, Judge Josué Mendoza considered that the three budgets established in the Criminal Procedure Code were met: founded elements of conviction on the commission of the crime, a prognosis of penalty greater than four years – in this case, perpetual chain would correspond to them by aggravated robbery – and a clear procedural danger, both of escape and of obstacle of justice.
“The severity of the fact, prior planning, and coordinated actions between the accused evidences an organization with the capacity to evade the actions of justice,” said the judge when reading his resolution.
The events occurred on July 10, in a house located between Balta and Chiclayo avenues, where the victim resided. According to the thesis of prosecutor Juana Vásquez Serrano, Sánchez – who maintained a romantic relationship with one of the defendants – would have had a key role in the planning and execution of the crime. Thus, according to the prosecutor, the accused would have watched the movements of the aggrieved, facilitating access to the property and igniting music at high volume to hide the cries for help while her companions hit him until she caused death.
During the assault, the defendants would have employed an electric mill to open a safe, from which they stole 50,000 soles. The defendant would have accessed the mobile phone of the deceased already their bank accounts.
