This Friday, the sectoral vice president of Citizen Security and Peace, A/J Remigio Ceballos, reported that more than 900 tons of food and equipment have been sent to the 14 states affected by the rains.
Through a balance shared on his twitter social network account, Ceballos specified that currently 199 municipalities and 629 parishes are affected by the rainfall reported in recent weeks.
In addition to this, he highlighted that to date more than 26,000 families have been assisted and 33 permanent shelters have been set up, of which 17 are in Zulia state, where 965 families remain.
On the other hand, Ceballos, together with authorities from the citizen security bodies, made an evaluation of the action protocol of the National Risk Management Planwith the aim of addressing the natural or anthropic situations that arise in the country.
“We verify the operational deployment that the National Directorate of Civil Protection and firefighters maintain in the state of Aragua, specifically in Las Tejerías and El Castaño, to continue with the timely assistance of the people affected by the rains,” he added.

In this sense, the Sectoral Vice President of Citizen Security and Peace pointed out that the authorities are monitoring the arrival of Tropical Waves No. 48 and 49, which approach from the Atlantic Ocean.
