Santo Domingo.-19 defendants from a network that erased and altered the criminal records of 16,958 people were sent to trial, benefiting criminals and drug traffickers in the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), which was dismantled in the operation known as Hawk.
Judge Yanibet Rivas, of the Sixth Investigative Court of the National District, ordered the opening of the trial against those accused in the well-known Operation Gavilán, a network that included Luis Alfredo Astacio Polanco, Jancely Estela Arias López, Luis Peña Cedeño, Alfredo Mirambeaux Villalonal, Pilar Trenes Medina Trinidad de Dotel, Yokaira Elizabeth Carmona, Antony Vicente Ferrer Mongero, Romanqui Alexander Dotel Medina, Mártires Rosario Reyes, Rubén Darío Morbán Santana, Domingo Julio Santana Sánchez and Dilcia Núñez Santos.
In addition to these, the file includes Laudelina Esther Reyes Silva, Ashley Darleni Morbán Reyes, José Ramón Quezada Carmona, Víctor Gilberto Mercedes Gómez and Katherine Franchesca Astacio Polanco.
