Nine kilos of liquid cocaine were seized at the DHL parcel company, located in La California Sur, Sucre municipality (Miranda), according to military sources.
Agents attached to the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit (Uria) No. 43 used the canine animal named Shira, during the review of a parcel in the aforementioned company.
In the middle of the review, the trained animal detected drugs in a package that turned out to be the monitor of an oscilloscope. There they carried a package of liquid cocaine, weighing 9 kilos 120 grams, according to the report. The aforementioned parcel would be sent from Caracas to Amsterdam, Netherlands-Holland.
The procedure was notified to the Public Ministry.
In another anti-drug operation, Uria 53 detected a field of 134 marijuana plants in the La Yegua sector of Cumanacoa (Sucre), which were unearthed. The plantation added four kilos 500 grams.
It is the second marijuana field destroyed in Sucre during June. Last week they unearthed 1,300 plants in Cariaco.
