On the border between Venezuela and Aruba, 504 panelas of marijuana and 60 of cocaine were seized, according to data obtained from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
The procedure was carried out in the same place where on September 3 last they seized 5,063 marijuana panels, considered the biggest stash detected in the last 10 years, as reported at the time by General Domingo Hernández Lárez, head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb).
On this occasion, the drug was transported in a boat that was shipwrecked due to mechanical failures on the coast of Cabo San Román, Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcón.
In said vessel they located 504 marijuana panels, weighing 400 kilos with 812 grams. They also transported 60 panels of cocaine that weighed 67 kilos with 98 grams. All the drugs were hidden in 17 sacks.
Inside the boat they also moved 7 plastic containers of different capacities where they carried 1,100 gasoline, a GPS and various documents.
During the process Three men were detained, one of them Venezuelan identified as Geliyen Eduardo Espinoza Chávez as well as the natives of Trinidad and Tobago Ricardo Blackman and Shun Kilon Samuel.
Agents attached to the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit No. 13 and Detachment D-131 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) participated in the operation.
In the Paraguaná Peninsula, they activated a Task Force to guard that border with Aruba, Bonaire, Curazao, among other islands, according to Hernández Lárez, who clarified that such a mission was ordered by President Nicolás Maduro as a result of his visit to Adícora in last August.
