Military personnel seized a Colombian-registered vessel on the Orinoco River, according to military sources.
The vessel was observed by agents assigned to Detachment 626 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) in the La Urbana sector, General Manuel Cedeño municipality (Caicara del Orinoco), Bolívar state.
It is a bongo-type vessel, orange in color, navigation patent NMR 3032N34528, serial NMR 6F6K-S-1076057, with registration belonging to the Subdirectorate of Aquatic Transport of the Republic of Colombia, according to the report.
During the procedure, two subjects identified as Edgar Albino Arena Torres and Nellys Mariela Rangel were apprehended, who are branded as collaborators of a Tancol group (Colombian Drug Trafficking Armed Terrorists) that operate in areas of Bolívar.
The detainees were handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a file for allegedly “not having the permit to navigate in Venezuelan territory.”
