A total of 8 kilos 400 grams of cocaine that they were carrying hidden on a bicycle were seized by military personnel in Peracal (Táchira), according to military sources.
The portion of cocaine was inside the tubes that make up the main frame of a bicycle, which was transported by Jerry Antonio Bermúdez Ramírez, who came from San Antonio del Táchira and was headed to San Cristóbal.
Bermúdez was traveling in a public transport unit that was reviewed at the Citizen Service Point located in Peracal, according to the report from Detachment 212 of the Bolivarian National Guard.

In Vega de Aza, another military checkpoint located on the same road in Tachira, the military detained Jesús Gregorio Naranjo Suárez, who was a passenger from San Antonio del Táchira. He himself admitted carrying drugs in his body, for which he was taken to the central hospital of San Cristóbal where he expelled 40 cocaine cods weighing 630 grams.
The drug would be delivered in Valencia (Carabobo), according to an investigation by Detachment 215 of the GNB.
