Military personnel from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) seized 57 packages of cocaine with a total weight of 63 kilograms in the state of Mérida, as reported by the Ministry of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace.
The entity shared images of the seizure with the four subjects detained at the “La Victoria” Citizen Service Point through its Telegram channel.
According to the information, the shipment was stored in the toolbox of a cargo truck-type vehicle and in a private vehicle, where these four people, for whom no identification was issued, were traveling.
The citizens came from the Tovar municipality of the state of Mérida and were destined for the city of Caracas, leaving the case at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
The national government, together with the State security forces, maintains an arduous fight against drug trafficking, smuggling and the neutralization of criminal gangs through patrolling and scrutinizing work to guarantee peace in the national territory.
