Security agencies seized a total of 2,144 marijuana panels on La Gallina Island, Bolívar, according to military sources.
The drug shipment was transported in a bongo-type boat whose three crew members were detained: Richard Ramón Bastidas, Karina Rondón Vicuña and Zoel Rafael Torrealba Cedeño.
The cache was distributed in 71 bags which had a total weight of 1,645 kilos.
Three cell phones were seized from the detainees, according to a report prepared by the mixed commission that participated in the operation with agents from the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (Dgcim), the National Anti-extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) and the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit No. 62, Bolivar.
