A total of 20 panels of cocaine were seized at the ferry dock located in the Bolivariana de Puertos (Bolipuertos) facilities, La Guaira state, according to military sources.
The shipment weighed 21 kilos 550 grams that were hidden inside a beige Chevrolet vehicle with license plate AA992RJ, parked at the aforementioned dock, according to a report from Detachment 452 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) to which we had partial access.
The drugs would be sent on the Pemba ship that would set sail for Kingston, Jamaica, plans that were detected by the Regional Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit (Uria) 45 whose agents thwarted the criminal action.
In this procedure, Kelvin Edison Bravo Romero was detained, who was handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a file for illicit drug trafficking.
Searches in prisons
Other anti-drug procedures were carried out in two prisons. During the routine inspection of internal green areas of the Capital Region Judicial Confinement Center (Rodeo II and III), the military seized two packages of marijuana, according to a report from Detachment 443 of the GNB.
The aforementioned panels were launched from the external area of the perimeter fence, with the intention of reaching the places of confinement of those deprived of liberty.
And at the Western Penitentiary Center, located in Santa Ana del Táchira, the military carried out a search through which they located three panels of marijuana, according to a report from Detachment 211 of the GNB.
The Public Ministry was informed of the procedures.
