They seized 20 firearms that they would sell to criminal gangs

GNB prevented drug trafficking to the US

A total of 20 firearms were seized from two people captured in the Los Olivos sector, Maracaibo (Zulia), according to reports.

These are 20 9 mm pistols broken down as follows: two Tanfoglio, three Glock, 10 Pietro Beretta, one Tauro, two Browring and one Smith and Wesson, according to a report from Detachment 211 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).

In addition, officials seized 20 pistol magazines, a telephone set and a pearl-colored Mazda 626 vehicle, license plate AB227TL.

The occupants of that car were detained and identified as Nerio José Matheus Fernández and Mariobis del Carmen Villalobos Quintero, who intended to sell the weapons to members of a structured organized crime group.

The detainees were handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a file for illegal possession of a firearm.

In Zulia, procedures have been carried out with seizures of weapons that would be used for destabilization plans, according to what was declared by the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.

In Sabanas Altas (Falcón), the military seized a 9 mm shotgun, a shotgun, six cartridges, a radio transmitter and a motorcycle, on which Osmel David Gutiérrez Gutiérrez was traveling, who was detained, according to the report.
