In a joint operation between the Vraem Special Command and the National Police, more than 6.7 tons of sodium bisulfate were seized in the district of Río Negro, province of Satipo (Junín). The chemical was transported in a truck and would allegedly be used for the production of cocaine base paste.

The seizure is part of the sustained actions carried out by law enforcement forces to combat drug trafficking in Vraem, an area considered high risk due to the presence of terrorist remnants and illicit activities.
The Ministry of Defense highlighted that these operations reinforce the presence of the State and territorial control in the region, in addition to contributing to the objective of pacification and sustainable development of the valley.
