On Thursday night, an operation to verify compliance with sanitary regulations was carried out in restaurants, grocery stores and beauty salons in the El Dorado sector, Betania district.
The team of Public Health inspectors of the metropolitan region of Health, visited more than 15 places of health interest where expired food products were seized, without health registration, establishments without health permits, collaborators without white and green cards.
Other sanitary deficiencies verified were: food placed directly on the floor, unsanitary kitchens, dirty grease traps, cross-contamination and the seizure of contraband cigarettes.
Israel Cedeño, regional director of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), pointed out that sanitary deficiencies are recurrent in the purchase of false cards, which will always be detected, confiscated, destroyed and will have to go to the Health Centers to carry out their formal procedures.
He explained that, if the person is a repeat offender in presenting a false card, they are removed, sanctioned and if they repeat the offense, they are sent to the higher authorities so that they cannot process a card and consequently further violate health regulations.
The Minsa reiterates to the merchants and their collaborators that they comply with the sanitary measures in force in the country to avoid being sanctioned, since the work of the Ministry of Health is to guide and recommend so that the health of the population is not affected.
