The National Customs of Bolivia seized boxes of tobacco and beer valued at 203,000 bolivianos, after three strategic control operations registered in the departments of La Paz and Santa Cruz.
The first intervention was registered at the Customs Inspection Point (PIA) of Guaqui, in La Paz, where four boxes of cigarettes of three different brands were identified, worth 28,000 bolivianos.
The illegal merchandise was transported in two public service vehicles that went with passengers, finding in each motorized two boxes of tobacco of American origin (Philip Morris, Parliament and Marlboro), which were seized for not carrying supporting documentation for their legal internment. to the country.

In parallel, at the Customs Inspection Point of Achica Arriba, in La Paz, another quantity of cigarettes was seized, valued at 35,000 bolivianos, which were also transported in a public transport vehicle.
In another operation registered in the PIA Abapó, in Santa Cruz, 83 packages with tobacco and alcoholic beverages valued at 140,000 bolivianos were seized. The cargo was transported in a bus, apparently from the neighboring country of Paraguay.
So far this year, the Strategic Operational Control Unit and Customs seized merchandise valued at more than 94.6 million Bolivians, says the Customs press release.
