More than 50 kilograms of psychotropic substances and narcotics were seized in the northern area of Táchira.
During the seizure, three individuals were detained in the Ayacucho municipality, by officials of the Bolivarian National Police Corps, as detailed by Commissioner General Jeffrey Rodríguez, director of the CPNB in Táchira.
This substance, identified as marijuana, was distributed in 102 panels inside two 18-kilogram domestic gas cylinders and an equal number of plastic containers like pimpinas.
He explained that it is a new modality for the trafficking of illicit substances and, thanks to the permanent night patrols carried out by the security forces to guarantee peace, the procedure was possible where, in addition, two motorcycles were detained.
The three antisocials, when trying to evade the police presence, raised suspicions and “that is where our men and women make the arrest and upon verifying them they realize that in the two domestic gas cylinders and in two pipes there is something suspicious,” Rodríguez declared.
The intelligence work by the uniformed CPNB extends throughout the state of Táchira as a guarantee of peace for the citizens. This is part of the articulation of the Civic Military Police Union that exists between the security forces and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.
Rodríguez was accompanied by M/G José Gregorio Martinez Campo, commander of the REDI Los Andes; Chief Commissioner Wilman José Rivera Torres, Secretary of Citizen Security and director of PoliTáchira, as well as the commander of Zonal 21, G/B Miguel Chacín.
