Anti-drug units of the National Police (PN) and the Public Ministry, seized on the night of this Friday, November 9, 400 packages of presumed illicit substance, inside a container in a Pacific Port.
According to the PN, the seized shipment would correspond to alleged cocaine that was covered with adhesive tape, inside some briefcases and would be destined for France.
It was learned, by the Ministry of Public Security (Minseg), that the security forces of Panama between the years 2021 and 2022 have managed to seize more than 70 tons of drugs in the ports.
“More than 20 port workers have been apprehended in these operations,” added the institution.
The merchandise was placed under the orders of the competent authorities.
