Mixed commissions of the Bolivarian National Guard seized 26 kilos with 405 grams of presumed cocaine that were found buried in rural properties in the Santa Lucía parish, belonging to the capital of the state of Barinas.
The procedure was carried out by mixed commissions of officials from Detachment 331, URIA and GAES-33, attached to the Zone Command for Internal Order No. 33 of the GNB.
The military body reported that the commissions carried out, for several days, intelligence work in the frontal fight against drug trafficking and Organized Crime Structured Groups that resulted in the location of the cache in the Agua Verde sector of the aforementioned population.
In total there were 23 wrappers, type panelas, found in the area within the framework of the operation order Venezuela, Sovereignty and Peace.
G/B Alexander José Narváez Malavé indicated that during the action seven citizens were arrested, who were placed under the orders of the corresponding Public Prosecutor’s Office. Two cell phones and other evidence of criminal interest were also seized.
Narváez Malavé stressed that the investigations of the case continue and that, following instructions from the National Executive and his superiors, work is intensifying to dismantle the groups dedicated to drug trafficking and contraband in the llanera entity.
