They seize 1.6 million illegal cigarettes in Santiago

The National Policethrough the Central Intelligence Directorate (Lintel), occupied 1.6 million of clandestine cigarette units during an operation carried out in the Villa Bisonó municipality, Navarrete, province Santiagoin which they were also detained two vehicles used to transport illegal merchandise and four people.

The intervention was carried out in the main highway from the La Estación sector, where the authorities intercepted a truck in which they were occupied 120 boxes of clandestine cigarettes.

  • Likewise, a vehicle was detained in which other vehicles were seized. 40 boxes of the alleged illicit product.

The detainees

The vehicles were driven by Aneudy Miguel Ulloa Jimenez and Diego Miguel Ruizwho were accompanied by Radames Urena and Erickso Moransi, the latter of Haitian nationality.

According to police records, one of the arrested figure with background by illegal carrying of firearm.

The National Police reported that both detained such as vehicles and busy merchandise will be made available to the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes.
