
A woman identified as María del Carmen Velasco Ramírez, 29 years old, was murdered with a shot to the head on October 5 at night in a home in the Caracara sector, Panamericano municipality, in the state of Táchira.
The authorities identified his ex-partner, identified as Cristian Rojas, as the main suspect in the crime, who allegedly He took their 4-year-old daughter after the incident.. The minor was found the next day in an operation carried out by the Táchira state Police.
Finding of the body of the young mother in Táchira
Velasco’s body was located by police officials in one of the rooms of the property. Next to her was her stepfather, José Gregorio Salgado Tapia, 52 years old, wounded, who received a gunshot wound to the chest during the attack.
Salgado was rushed to the Type I Hospital in Coloncito, Táchira, where he remains under medical observation.

After learning of the homicide, commissions from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) began the investigation and deployed an operation to find the whereabouts of Cristian Rojas, who would have fled after the crime.
