They are no longer in the team, by disposition and signature of the prosecutor of the Nation, Liz Benavidesthe supreme prosecutor Pablo Sanchez Velarde (who since the beginning of July returned to the position of coordinator of said special team) nor the deputy supreme Fany Quispe Farfan (who was constantly involved in the accusations of corruption against Walter Rios).

Two versions are handled of the recent modifications. The objective of “that all teams of prosecutors from all areas advance as quickly as possible with their cases”, such as that of the criminal organization ‘Cuellos Blancos’, which began in 2018, according to sources from this medium; and a discrepancy between the Public Ministry and Fernández Alarcón himself, who would have been asked to withdraw confidence from the deputy prosecutor Fany Quispe Farfán. Since Fernández did not accept this, he submitted his resignation during the week.

investigations must continue
The special team of prosecutors for the White Necks of the Port case is divided into four levels: the National Prosecutor’s Office, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, a superior prosecutor’s office and three provincial prosecutor’s offices. This same structure is still in charge of processing thousands of audios in which former prosecutors and former judges are involved in a larger corruption plot that operated in the spheres of the Public Ministry, the Judiciary, ONPE and the defunct CNM.
