Oversized cargo transfer permits nationwide will be suspended from 1:00 p.m. on February 25 until 6:00 a.m. on March 2. This was announced by the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT), through a statement.

The ATTT explained that this measure is due to the fact that during these dates massive mobilizations are expected throughout the country and to guarantee road safety these transfers were suspended.

According to the statement, those cargo vehicles that do not exceed 2.50 meters wide, 20 meters long and 4.15 meters high will be able to transit without restrictions. Vehicles such as dump trucks, tankers and vans will also be able to transit regularly.

Those who fail to comply with this provision will be sanctioned with infraction No. 25 of the Traffic Regulations, which grants 5 points to the license and a fine of 500 dollars. They will also be removed from the track by crane.
