They restore the service of the Santo Domingo Metro and Cable Car; It will be free until midnight

Santo Domingo.– The Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (Opret) reported that the Santo Domingo Metro and Cable Car service was restored and that it will be offered free of charge until 12:00 p.m. this Tuesday, November 11, to facilitate the return of users to their homes after the iElectrical interruption that affected the country.

According to the official statement, the operation was completely resumed on Metro Line 1, from the Centro de los Héroes station to Mamá Tingó; on Line 2, from María Montez to Eduardo Brito; and on Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Cable Car.

However, the Opret specified that the section corresponding to the extension of the Line 2 (2B)between the Ercilia Pepín and Concepción Bona stations, remains out of operation, while the technical teams continue the work to restore it as soon as possible.

The institution explained that the normalization of the service was possible after the restoration of the electricity supply at the Isabela substation, affected by the national blackout that occurred hours before.
