Members of the Environmental Crimes Department of the Argentine Federal Police rescued a capuchin monkey and several specimens of birds wild animals from a home in the town of Libertad, Buenos Aires province of Merlo, according to that force.

The specimen of this native species from northern Argentina and neighboring countries was in a deplorable state of health, according to veterinary personnel from the same Police.
In addition, specimens of other wild species such as goldfinches, corbatitas and olivaceaswho were caged in the patio of the house in poor health, formulating legal proceedings for violation of Law 22,421 for the Protection of Wildlife and 14,346 against animal abuse.
After making available to Justice the owner of the address and responsible for animal abuse; the rescued species were transferred to the refuge of the Civil Association Ecological Complex of America of the Buenos Aires town of America, for their recovery and reinsertion in their respective habitats.
