The governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, reported Thursday night that the 16 people who were missing in La Grita were rescued safe and sound.
The information was released by the regional president through his Twitter account, where he explained “that thanks to the effective actions coordinated by the citizen security agencies, in particular the #CICPC, because after tracking for about 10 days the mountain area, all 16 people were found.
Likewise, the regional president explained that these 16 people were located in the Páramo La Negra sector, between La Grita and the town of Tovar in the state of Mérida “finding them in perfect health, who said they were in a spiritual retreat praying. Thank God they showed up!”
