They rescue an anaconda in an irrigation canal in Barinas

The appearance of a snake generated alarm in the inhabitants of the Las Colinas neighborhood, El Carmen parish of the Barinas municipality, who reported the finding to the authorities.

In the morning hours of this Tuesday, inhabitants of the aforementioned community noticed the presence of an anaconda in the irrigation canal and notified the officials of the Fire Department of the Ezequiel Zamora National Experimental University of the Western Plains (Unellez).

According to information published on Unellez’s Twitter, the five-meter snake was dragged by heavy rains recorded in recent days towards the irrigation canal in Barinas.

The fire officials carried out the corresponding maneuvers for the rescue and protection of the animal that was later released in the Unellez Botanical Garden in Barinas.

“The Unellist firefighters, as on previous occasions, are attentive to the rescue of animals, avoiding situations that threaten any species,” Unellez mentions in the tweet.
