A kidnapping victim was rescued in Zulia by members of the Rural Command Detachment 11-1 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), according to military sources.
The victim is identified as Néstor José Machado González, whose rescue took place in the El Cruce sector, Jesús María Semprúm municipality, Zulia’s border with Colombia.
Relatives of Néstor José denounced before the GNB that last Friday hooded individuals broke into his home and took him to an unknown destination.
Once the complaint was known, a mixed commission was formed with the participation of the National Anti-extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) and the GNB Rural Command Detachment, whose agents saturated the sector where they had the victim, who was rescued.
During the procedure, Carlos Luis Barrios Barrios, a member of the El Yordan criminal group, was arrested, and a cell phone with information about the aforementioned criminal organization was seized.
In addition, the man appears in a video of the moment he participated in the kidnapping, the source revealed.
Alias El Yordan was handed over to the Public Ministry where they opened a procedure for kidnapping and conspiracy to commit a crime.
